I love your perspective on this image, and so many of your other images. You seem to frequently use the rule of thirds, but with the horizon on the top third and an object in the foreground and lower two thirds – the framing is brilliant and the results magnificent!

@Jim Mahan: Well, I´m not an educated photographer so sometimes I just split the image in half when I think it suits my purpose. For example, in this one - http://petermannfolk.aminus3.com/image/2008-06-24.html - it just seemed right to put the horizon in the middle; just my feeling though. That said, I do think that the rule of thirds does the trick most of the time. Thanks for your comment! /Peter

Terrific detail and clarity, Peter. Your photographs do, indeed, exhibit a brilliant compositional style ... seems to me that you're using both the right and left sides of your brain equally well ...
