Stones and cumulonimbus

A real cliché today but I liked the sharpness of the stones in the foreground although that may change once I´ve pressed the upload button...

Wonderful clouds... and the process and tones are great... It would be nice to know how you got this done...

Yes, one looses sharpness when uploading. Only the A-plus members can upload images in high quality... But, try applying a little sharpness to your images before you upload them. It works for me that way!

@juant3: Nothing fancy about my post processing at all. This one has two curve layers for contrast; one for the sky and one for the sea and the stones. Then an additional curve layer for toning is the last thing here. Sometimes I use a B/W layer with full or reduced opacity to desaturate an image and also some final vignetting (not in this one though). Thanks for your comment! /Peter

Great image. I like the rocks and again the sky. Although you explain your technique as "nothing fancy" , it works. I like the effect in many of your images.
Have you ever tried Photomatix? HDR software? It's free, but does leave a watermark which can be cloned out. If you are interested here is the site: http://www.hdrsoft.com/
