Hello Peter. I've just taken a look at your work, and I must say I like it a lot. I think you're talented.
Now, about this particular shot, I have to disagree with your composition, though. The subject, light and angle are all very fine, but I cannot find one reason to put it dead center. To me, it breaks it all.
I would so much love to see it with that lamp post another place (heck, I'd just clone it in PS, or better yet : reshoot). Just don't pan the camera, loosing the horizontal line of the pier. Instead, move the camera either to the left or right.
Well, that's what I'd suggest. I would very much like to hear what you think, and your motivation that lead you to give it a centered place.
Continue you excellent work, I look forward to see more.

@Vincent Bertrand: Hi Vincent and thanks for your interest in my photos! Yes, I´m a bit reluctant about this one and such a composition is normally not what I would prefer. However, when I did as you suggested it just didn´t seem right, as if the lamp post didn´t occupy enough horizontal space. So I chose to break the rules and positioned it in the center, which resulted in a very static composition. Looking at the image again tonight imagining the post off center makes me however feel that you´re probably right so I might just reshoot it someday ( and no, I wouldn´t clone it)... Thanks again for your comment! /Peter
To me the sweep of the clouds helps make the center position feel correct. I tried to imagine it moved and don't see how that will improve the image. "As is" for me! :-)
