@Walter: In this case it´s two masked curve layers, one for the sky and another one for the rest of the image. These layers are adjusted for contrast (i.e. the RGB curve). For toning I used another curve layer applied to the whole image. Finally, I added a vignette which is very obvious in the sky (there are lots of ways to make a vignette; I use a curve layer to darken the image and then the rectangular marquee tool with feathering set to 250 to create the vignette mask).
